The start of a quarter life crisis

It's the day after my deadline...what deadline you ask? The one I gave my ex in order for us to stay together. Now, I know deadlines might be stupid and I am starting to realize that this deadline was more for myself. Needless to say, we did not work things out.

This starts my venture on blogging and trying to find who I am without this person in my life. A person who has been in my life on and off for six years. To some thats a long time and to me... it feels like forever. I am only 24 years of age though and with 25 quickly approaching I feel like I am having a "Quarter Life" crisis.

I quit a job that I loved for this man. I gave up my idea of purchasing my own home. I was even going to move to another state. Here I am. Feeling more alone than ever. Sipping on Jack Daniels while sitting on my apartment balcony typing this. Trying to contemplate what my next move is. How do I move on? When will I be able to think about being with another man?

The last real conversation I had with my ex was over 20 questions I asked him to answer. These were 20 questions that over the course of 6 years we had never talked about. Yes, obviously we had a serious communication problem...and still do.

Regarding his answers though... it made me look back on our relationship and question practically everything. Having someone just tell you what you want to hear for 6 years instead of the truth  is humiliating in a way. To feel deceived and betrayed by someone who tells you they love you.

I feel that the best way for me to try to figure things out, is to write it. So here I am,  starting completely over and documenting my interesting experiences in life. I am now on the look out for another "pineapple" which my aunt would call another man who can make me happy and be apart of my life.

Hopefully this blog will make me laugh a little more about my life.
